Contribute to the site
While the basic material on these pages has been written by various Committee members, the site will only thrive with input from our Club membership. We therefore encourage you to submit any comment, ideas and news for the website to the relevant Club officers as indicated below, or to any other member of the Committee.
To submit articles All articles which authors wish to be considered for publication on the website should initially be submitted to the Editor of Pallidula, who will decide whether to publish the article first in the magazine. The Editor will not consider any article for publication in Pallidula which has previously appeared on the website.
To submit photographs Digital pictures should be in jpg format and need not be a particular file size (within reason): please note that they might be cropped or resized for use on the website. They may be emailed direct to the Webmaster or via a link to a file-transfer service (such as WeTransfer).
If you don’t have a digital camera, the Webmaster can accept photographic prints for scanning; please supply a stamped, self-addressed envelope so the prints can be returned to you if desired.
Please make sure that you have gained permission to use any images not originated by you, and provide the names of any copyright holders; the creator of an image released under a Creative Commons licence should also be acknowledged if required by that licence.

To contribute a picture gallery The picture galleries give BSCC members a chance to show parts of their collections to a worldwide audience. Choose a theme and submit a set of ten pictures to the Webmaster. All shells shown must be part of your collection. For each picture, please supply details of the shell, its size and the location where it was found, and optionally a comment or interesting information about the specimen. Contact the Webmaster with queries or for help.
To post an ad or news item Each member is allocated one webpage (family membership also allows one page) on which to post an advert, news item, query or other shell-related content. To post on your page, send an email to the Webmaster with your text and any photographs wanted (see above). Keep the text simple and avoid the use of tables, frames, etc.
Before sending your email, please make sure you have followed the rules for members' notices.
