Lockdown 2020 Facebook photo competition

Covid-19 put paid to the 2020 Shell Convention and other scheduled events that normally bring BSCC members together. One way to keep in touch was via the Club's Facebook page. During April and May the page hosted an informal shell photography competition, with a different theme each week: Still Life, Rainbow, Order/Disorder and Lookalikes & Misfits. It was fascinating to see how differently the themes could be interpreted, and good to get a glimpse of other people's shell collections. Congratulations to the winners of the four competitions, John Whicher, Colin Goss, Anne Clarke and Ali Hartley, and many thanks to our mystery judge for choosing them – and even providing certificates! Here are the winning photographs and a selection of the other entries received.
