The 2019 Chatsworth Shell Fayre
The ninth Shell Fayre was held at Chatsworth on 17 August 2019. The event was well attended by dealers and visitors alike. Special exhibits this year were provided by John Llewellyn-Jones ('The pearly Nautilus and some of its uses') and Brian Hammond ('Conus thalassiarchus Sowerby, 1834, colour and pattern variation within a single cone species'), and by Holly, who showed some of her own shells. A collection raised £280 for iPads for a local school. Thanks as ever to Rob Law and Brian Hammond for organizing the event and the meal afterwards.
